BIOGRAPHY

Zachary Landress is an Orlando-based music director, multi-instrumentalist, and composer with a professional background in sacred, classical, and commercial music. He has a passion for creating otherworldly, musical spaces for entertainment and liturgical worship.
 

As a music director, Zach led the development of the music program at St. Rita Catholic Church in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida into one of the most well-regarded in the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee. He was also asked by the diocese to direct all music for the 2020 Diocesan Chrism Mass as well as the 2022 Spring Priest Retreat. While in Santa Rosa Beach, he also worked as a music director for the Emerald Coast Theatre Company.
 

In 2022, Zach was selected as one of 21 musicians to play in the 2022 Disneyland All-American College Band; here, he performed for up to 10,000 people per day in Disneyland with internationally renowned artists such as Gregg Field, Wayne Bergeron, and Gordon Goodwin. As a trombonist, Zach has also performed with The Florida Orchestra and The Panama City Symphony Orchestra.
 

Zach’s original compositions have been performed across the United States. Most recently he was selected as one of eight Composition Fellows for the 2023 Catholic Sacred Music Project Composers’ Institute. Here, he studied composition under Sir James Macmillan and had an original composition, Rerum, Deus, Tenax Vigor, recorded for an international broadcast on EWTN.
